He has written an amazing 27 novels, compiled numerous collections, and won heaps of awards and nominations, especially for his first Jack Taylor series beginning with The Guards (published 2001).

Movie extras wanted

MovieExtras.ie has announced details of its open day in Galway on Saturday November 7 to recruit extras for film, TV, and commercial productions. The recruitment drive is on the back of involvement with Jack Taylor and another major production which will be shooting soon. MovieExtras.ie is on the look-out for people of all different backgrounds, ages and looks. A bit of Gaelige may also help for future Irish language productions (but is not a requirement). And of course no experience is required.
